C Team Break Terminal Record

Congratulations and well done to DP World Southampton’s C Team who managed to break the terminal record for the number of container moves during a single shift.

A record breaking 2,752 container moves were carried out by C Team during their night shift which began on 29 July and finished in the early hours of 30 July 2008.

During the record breaking shift, 11 of the terminal’s 12 gantry cranes were operational, including the terminal’s two new super post-panamax gantry cranes, highlighting that DP World Southampton is back up to full operations and powering on “full steam ahead.”

Talking about the terminal record, Campbell Mason, Managing Director,
DP World Southampton, said:

“I’m delighted to see that we have broken this record, especially with the assistance of our two new Liebherr cranes.  I would like to congratulate all the members of C Team, the Engineers and everyone involved on the terminal during the night shift who played their part in this significant achievement.”
