Reliability is Key to SIX Feeder Service Success

The Southampton Ireland X-Press Service (SIX) operated by X-Press Container Line and serving Southampton, Dublin, Greenock and Belfast has achieved 100% schedule integrity since the beginning of April this year.

Paul-James Sawyer, Trade Manager, X-Press Container Line, said:

“Our ability to maintain our schedule integrity is what enables us to demonstrate to our customers that feedering is a real and viable alternative for moving containers around the UK and Ireland.  It is thanks to the reliable and efficient service that we receive from all our ports of call, including DP World Southampton that we have been able to achieve this current track record – long may it continue.”

Neil Fletcher, Customer & Planning Manager, DP World Southampton, added:

“Here at DP World Southampton we recognise the need for our customers to receive fast and efficient service to ensure they are able to meet their schedule and ultimately their customers’ needs.  In the case of working with feeder lines, we are able to offer dynamic connections with boxes moving directly from the mother vessel to the feeder vessel.  We are delighted to have played our part in X-Press Container Line’s success. One of the critical elements in achieving this 100% schedule integrity has been our ability to work the vessel on a fixed day”.
