DP World Southampton Takes Part in Beachwatch 2008On Saturday 20 September 2008 a group of willing volunteers from DP World Southampton and their families donned their wellington boots and took to the shores of Goatee Beach, Eling, Southampton to not only clean up the beach but also to record the types of litter being picked up.
Talking about Beachwatch, Hans Clemens, Environment Coordinator, DP World Southampton, said: “It has been great to be able to get involved in Beachwatch 2008, we found more rubbish than we were expecting, a total of 18 large black bags, so it will be interesting to see what the Marine & Conservation Society make of our findings.”
